EYard, administration at a glance
YARD has also been developed using advanced Java-techniques. YARD communicates with the STEP2 database to obtain container data and is real-time. YARD always shows the current status of your Yard and the containers in the yard.
Using the filter option you can use colours to identify containers with certain particulars, like containers for a certain vessel, for a certain destination, weight categories or any combination thereof. You can use YARD to update the exact location of each container, if that is required. Also you can initiate the movement of containers from one location to another, if you find that necessary.
When you plan the locations in the Yard for certain containers, YARD will determine fully automatically which location will be the best suitable for a newly arrived container and YARD will then communicate
this planned location to the Reach-stacker (RS) driver (RFNet required). The RS-driver can then confirm the location or decide to stack the container on another location for whatever reason.
